20+ years of business and accounting experience.
I'm Katerina Ianovskaia, founder of Sagebooks. I hold an HBA from the Ivey Business School at Western University and have spent two decades helping small businesses make sense of their numbers.
I've worked with fitness studios, contractors, independent clinics, and service providers — so when we sit down to look at your books, I bring more than software skills. I bring real-world understanding of how businesses actually operate.
Common questions
Quick answers to the things most owners ask before our first call.
Do you work with businesses outside Mississauga, Oakville, Brampton, and Milton?
Our delivery is remote-first, so we can serve any business in Ontario. We focus our marketing and in-person onboarding on the GTA West because that's where we have the strongest local network and industry knowledge.
What accounting software do you use?
We work primarily in QuickBooks Online. If you're on a different platform, we'll review it during onboarding and either adapt or recommend a migration.
Is there a long-term contract?
No. Our packages are billed month-to-month. You can pause or change plans at any time — though most clients stay because the monthly insight rhythm becomes part of how they run their business.
How is this different from working with an accountant once a year?
An accountant typically files your taxes after the year is over. Bookkeeping plus advisory means you have clean books and useful insights every single month — so you can make decisions in real time, not in hindsight.
